Sac & Fox Trail Scenes
I captured this little lady on the bottom on Sunday, while enjoying a beautiful late winter stroll along the Sac & Fox Trail on the SE side of Cedar Rapids. This trail is well maintained and meanders along Indian Creek. Most of the snow from the Friday storm had melted, so the trail was pretty sloppy. But nothing the Goretex couldn’t handle. I used to not have much of an appreciation for “the dead of winter”, but I do think the shades of brown contrasting against a bright blue sky can be pleasing to the eye. Couple that with some gently flowing water making some great reflections, throw in a few mallard ducks, 50 degrees, and few people and that provides the makings for a pretty good late February day in Iowa.
