Red Admiral on the Cedar
Here are a couple recent shots of the Red Admiral butterfly I saw while walking along the Cedar Nature Trail in Cedar Rapids, IA. These butterflies are plentiful this year. They are also extremely quick and make it difficult to get a shot since they don’t stay in one spot very long. I’m not sure what the flowers are, but there are white and pink varieties that are abundant in the Iowa wild.
