One Big Doggie
Imagine driving your car and slowly coasting towards a red light. The traffic is light enough to allow your mind to wander to other things not nearly as important as safe driving. You come to stop and notice another car pulling alongside the divided boulevard. You look to your left and you don’t see the car, but instead the monstrous head peering out the window ready to lay a slobbery lick on you. Well, that is just what happened to us on Sunday afternoon in Iowa City, IA. I am a dog owner, but no dog expert. I am not entirely sure the breed of dog this was, but I am experienced enough to know that it is BIG. Really big. There is not much clearance between the dog’s head and the open space available in the window area.
Pretty sure this is a Mastiff. Entirely confident it is big. You gotta love the wet car door from the endless supply of slobber as those cheeks flap in the breeze.
Here’s lickin’ at you, kid. Nice puppy.
