Classic Midsummer Iowa Storm
The sunset and a massive cumulus cloud teamed up to produce this colorful sky. I have not done any editing to this shot. The colors in the cloud is the result of the sun setting and shining on it.
About 5 minutes later, it took on an amazing peach-pinkish hue. I was surprised that the formation didn’t really change much.
I like the contrast within the cloud structure in this greyscale effect.
At least it rained somewhere. Even though I shot these no more than a mile from my home, we didn’t get a single, much needed drop of rain.
