Keystone Bridge Elkader 1-2 span

Elkader Keystone Bridge

This Blue Heron really didn't want his picture taken very badly. I chased him up and down the Turkey River for about 15 minutes. I finally got a dent shot of him in flight against the early autumn foliage.

Here, I added quite a bit of vignette to the shot. That made the butterfly kinda pop with light. This is pretty easy to do in Aperture 3. I didn't mess with the color too much. Pretty much what I saw is what you get.

Remember that book/game "Where's Waldo?" I think I found him. Can you?

This Seagull variety is sitting on a man made rock barrier at the harbor in Ephraim, WI. I like how the sunset warmed the tone of the rocks, yet provided a nice backlight on the bird. I also noticed how its legs have the same peach hue as the rocks it's perched upon.
