Southeastern Mimosa

I think most everyone is familiar with the Champagne/orange Juice concoction called a Mimosa.  What I did not know is that there is a bush that is abundant and grows wild in the southeastern United States with the same name.  Driving along the interstate highway throughout Georgia and into South Carolina provides many views of these beautiful bushes with their bright pink/white plumes.  They’re pretty fragrant, too.

The Mimosa bloom reminds me of those fiber lights that used to be popular a couple of (gasp!) decades ago.
