Oh, Mercy!

We were privileged to have witnessed a great group of Witnesses last night in Cedar Rapids.  MercyMe, led by amazing vocalist Bart Millard put on a great show, in what was called “Praise in the Park”.  Here are some shots I took of the concert.  Click on any of them for a larger view.

The band is amazingly talented.  You can tell they thoroughly enjoy performing and witnessing their faith through their music and messages.  They also performed a few covers of more mainstream music, including Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down and R.E.M’s Everybody Hurts. I can honestly say they do them better than the original artists.

Over 4,000 spectators enjoyed MercyMe and packed Veterans Stadium in Cedar Rapids on a beautiful night.
