Happy Thanksgiving from Iowa

Here is the plate I prepared for myself from our Thanksgiving feast.  Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic, Sausage and Herb Dressing, Sweet Potato Bake with candied pecans, No Knead Dutch Oven Bread, strawberry-pretzel salad and PURPLE POTATOES!  These potatoes are in the natural color and taste just like a klondike potato but are loaded with antioxidants.

I’m sure those antioxidants plus the 10 or so roasted garlic cloves canceled out all of the cholesterol with additives such as sour cream and butter.

We hope you and yours enjoy a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Be thankful for all you are and have!  We are so blessed!

The pretzel salad has a crushed pretzel crust. The next layer is a sweetened cream cheese mixture topped with a strawberry and strawberry gelatin mixture topped with whipped cream.
