Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

What perfect timing for this particular theme of the Weekly Photo Challenge. The Golden Hour is what is known as the hour on either side of the sunrise and sunset. To a photographer, this provides the most dynamic and interesting light available in nature and landscape photography. Last night I snapped this shot of the landscape as we drove out of the Bighorn National Forest along Highway 14 about 80 miles east of Cody, Wyoming. The sun was setting and lit up this interesting red stone and sweeping rock formation like a spotlight.

Thank you. The timing was incredible as we were on our 15th hour of driving last night and this feature came from nowhere.
