New Life

I haven’t posted to this blog in nearly a full year. I think its time to resurrect this space.  I’ve been busy shooting, but you’d never know it by the looks of it here. So, here it goes.  Restart. Sort of a “new life”, or a rebirth if you will.

I can’t think of a more fitting way to breath new life into this blog than to show the result of an event that unfolded in my backyard over the last few weeks.  It seems a pair of Cardinals decided my Buckthorn bush just outside our great room windows and in the middle of our busy patio was the perfect location to build a nest, lay some eggs, and input new creation into our midst.

Isn't she a stunner?
Isn’t she a stunner?
But, does it really get any better than this?
But, does it really get any better than this?

After just 11 days beyond hatching, the 2 chicks left the nest precisely as the internet suggested they would (or else Nigel the next door cat decided late in the evening darkness that he needed some play toys). We think the internet was right. Nonetheless, life goes on.

I’m glad to be back!
