Hi, I’m Dennis. I’m in my 6th year of this photography thing, which means my original gear is past the point of warranty. Ugh.

The photograph below is special to me because I shot it on the very first day I bought my Nikon D90 after about 15 minutes and I remember thinking then “oh my gosh, look at that picture I just took!” From there I was literally hooked.

Locked and Loaded

I am currently employed as a Strategic Alliance Manager within a $1.5B global software company. I’m in my 20th year at the same company. It’s enabled me to take trips to Europe, but hasn’t afforded me the luxury of planning time while there to capture a great deal of my experiences there.

I’ve literally smashed my main goal of being a credentialed sideline game day college football and basketball photographer. I’ve been officially photographing the Iowa Hawkeyes on game day for 2 full seasons and about to start the 3rd season in the fall of 2017. It’s everything I hoped it would be and more.  I hope I can get into a rhythm of posting on some kind of a regular basis. If I don’t will you please promise to encourage me?

Thanks for following along and, as always, “Go Hawks!”

What is the location of the photo at the top of this page?

Hi Natalie. Thanks for stopping by. The photo on the banner page was taken from the Motor Trail inside Great Smoky Mountain National Park near Gatlinburg, TN. It is a scene of a trough from a mill. Here is another post of the scene. https://webcentrick.wordpress.com/2012/03/14/a-family-oriented-spring-break-day-5-great-smoky-mountains/ .
